Wynne Burchenal

Wynne was born in Tampa, Florida and raised in Austin, Texas. She has always held a deep interest in the outdoors which has only deepened with time. Wynne has spent time surfing in Costa Rica, Florida and Texas. She is the quintessential surfergirl - always in and around the sun and the water. Whether it’s Stand Up Paddling or ripping the curl - she is committed to sharing her love of watersports with the community at large. She is a certified Waterfront Lifeguard and is trained in Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED for the Pro Rescuer. In high school she was awarded for excellence in ethnomathematics and in college received a merit based scholarship to Goucher College, which, she currently attends. At Goucher she is pursuing a BA in Dance Therapy in addition to exploring what the North East American outdoors has to offer. In the future, Wynne has hopes to explore Cuban culture in Havana for an undefined amount of time and eventually reside on a beach with waves she can surf. Wynne loves working with the Expedition School and can’t wait for the many more adventures that will come!
