Wellness Education Curriculum
As educators, we offer an alternative approach to teaching Physical Education (PE) and wellness.
-One day outing with The School (guides and faculty included!) at the Lorraine Grandma Camacho Center – activities include but are not limited to: mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, or SUPing, archery, and/or hiking with local flora and fauna identification. We can also help with volunteer projects in conjunction with Keep Austin Beautiful and/or team building activities, too!
-Teaching and certifying your students and/or faculty in American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid, Lifeguarding, and/or Wilderness First Aid – including outdoor mock scenarios (with moulage and fake blood, of course!).
-Private consultations – where our faculty comes to you and assists in implementing and/or augmenting your current wellness program. Our very own faculty, Kelli Page – Texas certified PE educator K-12 – created a revitalized Wellness Education Program using the 5 major focus areas of wellness: Heart, Muscle, People, Food, and Protection Power. Utilizing the Wellness Education Curriculum, we can blend skill themes with fitness and nutrition concepts in a moving environment that will establish healthy habits in childhood that can last a lifetime.
